My art is about making the world a more beautiful and happy place.  I draw inspiration from textures and colours in Nature as well as the beauty of the female form and haute couture. 

 

Sometimes I put all these together to express our inter-connectedness with Nature and all creatures on Earth.. Here a woman has clouds for hair, avocados for eyes and twigs for fingers.

 

I am deeply concerned about the wildfires raging in Canada these days, destroying our beautiful trees and helpless animals, the hills of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh turning into tumultuous rivers of mud carrying creatures and trees to their sad end. This would have never come t pass if these hills had been forested.

 

And so I try to capture the beauty of leaves and flowers and trees before they become so rare, our children and grandchildren will only see them as pictures.
